Cultivo del M. tuberculosis en embriones de pollo

Resumen

Por muchos años, miles de enfermos han concurrido a los sanatorios para tratamientos de montaña, en Davos, a 1660 m, y en Arosa, a 1890 m. sobre el nivel
del mar. La evolución aparentemente favorable de la tuberculosis, con dichos tratamientos, parece depender, según varios trabajos experimentales realizados en el presente siglo, de la influencia de las bajas tensiones de oxígeno existentes en las grandes altura s /A l menos, en este sentido hacen pensar las observaciones "in y itro " sobre el comportamiento del bacilo bajo condiciones de oxígeno restringido. Tiene todavía que hacerse la comprobación experimental " in vivo", a pesar de que muchos trabajos con anímales de laboratorio, son ya bastante definidos y concluyentes. En 1939, en una conferencia de la "Asociación Clínica " de Rotterdam, se ha hablado de la posibildad de beneficiar a los enfermos tuberculosos en tratamiento, manteniéndoles en locales con baja concentración de oxígeno
