Aspectos fisiológicos de la prolactina
Resumen
Aunque no han sido aclarados los mecanismos de producción y regulación de la PRL, podríamos resumir los conceptos actuales en los siguientes
términos:
6.1. Hay una modulación frenadora por acción del hipotálamo, que hace que la secreción de PRL, no sea constante y continua.
6.2. La dopamina, posiblemente juega un papel muy importante én la frenación, ya que existe en cantidad abundante en el hipotálamo.
6.3. No se puede descartar la acción de otros factores PIF, además de la dopamina.
6.4. No se ha aislado una sustancia específica estimuladora de PRL, si bien hay evidencias de su existencia.
6.5. La respuesta celular al estímulo de la PRL, es un sistema AMPC dependiente.
