Estructura y composición de un remanente secundario, loma Irunuma, Zumba, Zamora Chinchipe - Ecuador

Abstract

The study area is the Irunuma hill in the Zamora Chinchipe province, Chinchipe canton, parish Zumba, Mayo Simanchi limestone deposit, coordinates 04 ° 49.57’S - 79 ° 05.57’W, altitude 1450 meters, montane evergreen forest plant formation, low area of wet forest life Pre Montano. In October of 2012, a 78 Cerón y Reyes: Parcela, Zumba temporary plot of 100 x 25 m (1/4 ha.), species ≥ 10 cm DAP, was established for each of the individuals in the plot, the diameters were measured and estimated the heights, the botanical material of all species were deposited in the Herbarium QAP. The Simpson Diversity Index and Importance Value Index were calculated for the species. 171 individuals, 40 species, 36 genera, 29 families were recorded. The total basal area is 7.7m². The ten most important species by their frequency and Importance Value Index are: Coccoloba mollis, Mauria heterophylla, Symplocos laurifolia, Alchornea glandulosa, Saurauia bullosa, Nectandra lineatifolia, Sapium laurifolium, Banara nitida, Viburnum stipitatum and Trema micantha. The Diversity Index value is interpreted as a range on average. The rapid implementation of this methodology is increasingly used in our country, as a tool for the analysis of potential environmental impacts, mining, oil and other activities.
