ARTICLE PROCESSING CHARGES (APC) AND FREE PUBLICATION

CINCHONIA is a scientific journal published by the Alfredo Paredes Herbarium (QAP) at the Central University of Ecuador that is committed to True Open Access. In accordance with this principle of democratizing knowledge, the journal states that:
• No submission or processing fees: The entire editorial process—including submission, double-blind peer review, copyediting, typesetting, and final publication of original, unpublished scientific articles—is completely free for authors.
• No APCs: The journal does not charge any article processing charges (APCs).
• Open Access: Published content is immediately available free of charge to readers and researchers worldwide, without financial restrictions or embargo periods.
This free access policy is funded and institutionally supported by the Alfredo Paredes Herbarium (QAP) at the Central University of Ecuador, ensuring that researchers in various fields of botany (ethnobotany, plant ecology, floristics, plant diversity, and related sciences) can disseminate their findings without financial barriers.
