EVALUACIÓN DE PARES

CINCHONIA is a journal open to the publication of original, unpublished scientific articles in various areas of botany: systematics, taxonomy of vascular plants, morphology, cytology, genetics, ecology, ethnobotany, reproductive, structural, and developmental biology, phycology, mycology, etc.

The publication process consists of four stages:

1. Evaluation of the quality and presentation of the original manuscript by the Editorial Board. Articles that do not comply with the editorial guidelines will be returned before their content is evaluated.

2. Substantive review: The content of the manuscript is reviewed and evaluated by external researchers through a double-blind peer-review process; the author is informed of the outcome of the review (acceptance, request for revisions, or rejection).

3. Stylistic review: The Editorial Board reviews the manuscript for style and format.

4. Proofreading is the responsibility of the author and the Editorial Board. Authors are advised to pay special attention to wording, syntax, spelling, citations and bibliographic references, scientific names, and abbreviations used. Manuscripts may be up to twenty pages in length, including text, figures, and tables; the journal’s Editorial Board may consider exceptions.
