Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
Dado el carácter dependiente de la economía ecuatoriana y su grado de apertura externa, las opciones de política económica, sobre todo del corto plazo, están fuertemente condicionadas por el comportamiento de la economía internacional. De ahí que para la definición de una estrategia de desarrollo de corto y mediano plazo como la que se postula en este documento, sea necesario partir de algunas consideraciones sobre la naturaleza de la actual crisis económica internacional, las perspectivas de recuperación en el corto y mediano plazo, y la naturaleza probable de esa aún incierta reactivación.
