Abstract

The current crisis of capitalism is one of the most severe that the system has suffered in its history. For the last ten years, problems of all kinds have been multiplying, and although it is often said that the end of the tunnel is already in sight, the truth is that the difficulties persist and that the facts continue to impose themselves on the most optimistic forecasts. The vigorous recovery that many expected after the Crash of 1974-75 has yet to occur, and even in countries where economic growth rates have been relatively higher, unemployment, lagging private investment, trade and financial imbalances and inflation persist.
