One of the political-criminal strategies to combat criminal structures has been to implement measures to control their economies in order to boycott the operation of these criminal enterprises. In Ecuador, the legislator introduced the offence of unwarranted private enrichment with the objective proposed above and with a view to penalizing conduct that gives rise to embezzlement, bribes and gratuitous acts. In this article I will make a analysis of the criminal type in order to clarify its investigation and prosecution.
