The research was done in three stages. At the first one, we identified the crumb rubber’s physical chemistry properties, such as: geometrical form, real and apparent density, porosity, content of natural rubber and interfacial area; at the second one, the rheological behavior of the mixes asphalt-rubber was studied using a Brookfield viscometer, varying size, concentration of particles and temperatures; and, at the third one, the physical chemistry characterization of these mixes was done following ASTM essays for asphalts products and content of paraffins. According to the experimental result, we could conclude that the particles of 0,5 mm and concentration of 7,5% in weight are recommendable; the ASTM characterization define that the mixes of 7,5 and 10,0% in weight present the best conditions for the asphalt.
