Abstract

Simulated distillation and physicochemical properties of Ecuadorian crude oils were done to evaluate yields of crude oil fractions. Samples of Wells situated in multiple locations of the Ecuadorian Amazon like: Auca, Cononaco, Drago, Parcayacu, Shuara, Yuca, Yulebra and Esmeraldas’ Refinery crude oil input were collected. The principal physicochemical properties were determined by standardized procedures. The boiling point curves were obtained by chromatographic techniques. The predominant fractions compositions were determined with Hysys Processes Simulator. The crude oils has a characterization factor Kuop that oscillates between 11-11.8, in other words, these crudes have a naphthenic base.
