The construction of global regulations from an approach to the Lex mercatoria

Abstract

This work is based on a brief review of the concept of legal pluralism and refers to some typologies and conceptual scopes about it, after which, makes approximations regarding the Lex mercatoria to identify it as an expression of legal pluralism concentrating on reviewing its historical and contemporary characteristics, observing from this the type of pluralism to which it is initially ascribed by virtue of the facets shown by the process of formation of non-state norms produced by economic agents, mainly transnational corporations, to finally point out the traffic and bridge built by this right considered in principle unofficial with the official right.
