Control de la corrupción y crecimiento económico en el MERCOSUR ampliado: 1996-2020

Abstract
El objetivo de este trabajo es estudiar el impacto de la cuestión institucional sobre el crecimiento económico. En particular, se examina el efecto del control de la corrupción, como variable representativa de la dimensión institucional, sobre el crecimiento económico. La metodología se basa en un modelo de datos de panel para Argentina, Bolivia, Brasil, Chile, Paraguay, Uruguay y Venezuela, en el período 1996-2020.
Los resultados muestran un impacto positivo de la variable CC en el crecimiento. Una mejora de un 1% en el CC repercute aproximadamente en un 0,09 % de crecimiento del PBI per cápita, es decir cerca de una décima parte de un punto porcentual.
