Abstract

Free Fall is a new book by Nobel Prize-winning economist Joseph Stiglitz, which addresses the different factors and consequences of the latest crisis of capitalism in mid-2008. Stiglitz, in addition to a description of the different factors that led to the international financial crisis, which began with the financial crash in the U.S. economy, criticizes economic thinking based on the idea that free and unfettered markets are efficient and that if there are errors, they are quickly corrected.
