Abstract
Biodiversity has to do with the variety or abundance of life on our planet. The functioning of evolutionary mechanisms has allowed the existence of hundreds of thousands of species of plants and animals that inhabit certain ecosystems and that have the capacity to change, repeat, store and transfer essential functions and characteristics that distinguish them from others.
