Abstract
This article was scanned by the Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinoza Pólit.
Numerous political and economic contradictions are opening up at the end of the century in the Europe of the Fifteen. The triumph of Tony Blair, of the Labor Party, in England, as well as the surprising triumph of the left in the elections to the National Assembly in France, are reshaping the political map of the European Union while changing the options and priorities for the construction of the Union. But despite these new changes, the fundamental vector seems to remain the same: the definition of the single currency, the euro.
