Abstract

This article aims to identify some features and theoretical characteristics of decentralization and autonomies; and, on this basis, to try to explain these processes for the Ecuadorian case, trying to specify a generalizable pattern regarding the subject under the logic of the functioning of capital, in order to subsequently put forward a proposal to combat poverty and strengthen participative democracy.
