Abstract
Ecuador's development, like the rest of the Latin American countries in recent years, is closely linked to the increase in exports; countries that have improved their competitive position in the international market and consolidated their position in the trade of goods and services, register significant growth rates in their gross domestic product. Exports have increased rapidly in some countries despite high levels of competitiveness.
