Abstract

For many years now, the issue of the Ecuadorian University and its reform has been widely and ardently discussed and controversial, inside and outside its premises. Although there is general agreement on the academic deterioration, devaluation of degrees and progressive proletarianization of university professionals, i.e., there has been agreement on the manifestations of the serious and chronic university crisis that is worsening day by day, this has not been the case when characterizing this phenomenon, much less when specifying its causes and proposing corrective, current, effective and viable actions.
