Abstract

Por considerar que para la política económica y la planificación es indispensable el conocimiento de la estructura de la fuerza laboral y su distribución en los diferentes sectores productivos, casi todos los países de América Latina (el nuestro es una excepción) realizan trimestral o semestralmente encuestas ocupacionales que permiten evaluar tanto la movilidad social, cuanto calcular parámetros sobre ocupación, desocupación, subocupación como bases para analizar la estructura de la fuerza de trabajo -en sus diferentes grados de calificación- con los requerimientos del aparato productivo.
