Abstract

This article was scanned by the Aurelio Espinosa Polit Ecuadorian Library.
The expansion of economic activity and the development of the monetary sector in the seventies was accompanied by a rapid and notable growth of banking and financial activity. This process of monetization of economic activity, analyzed above, was achieved, among other factors, by the growth of banking sector institutions. The new economic dynamics demanded additional resources for productive activity and the growing oil resources were channeled to the public and private sectors through the institutional mechanisms of financial activity.
