Abstract

Given the great importance of the national oil activity within the Ecuadorian economy since 1972, it has been considered convenient to quantify the annual amount of physical production in thousands of barrels, as well as their respective values in millions of current and constant sucres. The present work intends to fill the existing gap about the true scope and content of the national oil activity from the point of view of economic yields, as well as its production costs.
