Abstract
The U.S. Department of Commerce published a study on foreign direct investment in the United States, including for the first time all companies with 10% or more foreign equity ownership. This change in the criteria previously used for 25% made the figures for U.S. direct investment abroad comparable to those for foreign direct investment in the United States.
