Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
El presente trabajo intenta analizar la tributación en el caso ecuatoriano desde su aparición hasta su abolición legal. El desarrollo de este estudio no pretende ser una simple descripción, sino una interrelación entre el aspecto tributario de la población indígena con la formación social colonial y de los primeros años de la República a fin de que en ese enfoque pueda tener su explicación.
