Abstract

Despite the boasts of autonomy of the Central University, and of the entire Ecuadorian University, it is legitimate to recognize that such autonomy is relative, both because its budget is largely financed by governmental contributions, which makes it prone to all kinds of pressures, and because in the development of its various functions, the University generally adopts and disseminates a foreign science, technology and culture.
