Abstract
This article was scanned by the Aurelio Espinosa Polit Ecuadorian Library.
The violent regressive turn that economic, social and political trends in Latin America have been exhibiting is expressed with particular crudeness in the economic policies that have become predominant in many of our countries. The International Monetary Fund has established itself as the implacable rector of this process, complemented by the inspiration and advice offered by bearers of an economic conception, supposedly technical, who are generally associated with the name of Milton Friedman.
