Abstract

As a consequence of the great dynamism that international capitalism acquired from the XVI century onwards, Latin American countries were incorporated into world trade, an incorporation based mainly on the production of precious metals, in a first stage, which contributed to the increase in the merchandise business and the expansion of means of payment, in addition to the unusual development of commercial and banking capital in Europe. At the same time, it promoted the creation of the great manufacturing industry and the Industrial Revolution, establishing England as the center of capitalism.
