Abstract

Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.


Los Estados Unidos del Brasil, ocupan cerca del 47.3% del área total de la América del Sur y el 1.7% de la tierra; es la cuarta nación del mundo en cuanto a extensión superficial, superada solamente por Rusia, China y Canadá.  


Su territorio está cruzado en la parte Norte por el Ecuador y el Trópico de Capricornio lo atraviesa en el medio día; por lo cual se extiende en los dos hemisferios, perteneciendo la mayor parte de su duelo a la mitad Sur de la zona ecuatorial.
