Abstract

El proceso de desarrollo económico se define como incremento del ingreso real “per cápita” que ha de obtenerse mediante el aumento de la productividad. El problema de la productividad es en última instancia un problema de inversiones ya que la dotación de capital a grandes masas de población, que por no disponer de aquel tienen escasa productividad, es la única forma de aumentar el ingreso “per cápita” que requiere -a su vez- que el ingreso total crezca en mayor medida que la población. Además, la magnitud de dichas inversiones es cada vez mayor pues el intenso incremento de la población aumenta las necesidades de capital.
