La reforma agraria en Guatemala

Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
En el curso de los años que siguieron al triunfo del movimiento popular de 1944, que dio por tierra con la dictadura de Jorge Ubico, y con un largo período de dictaduras al servicio de los latifundistas y del capital extranjero, se vino planteando cada vez con mayor fuerza, como una cuestión de primordial importancia, impulsar el desarrollo de la industria nacional, impulsar, en general, el desarrollo económico del país y sacudirse del dominio asfixiante del capital monopolista extranjero, haciendo de Guatemala un país económicamente desarrollado e independiente. En relación con este objetivo se planteaba como cuestión principal la realización de una reforma agraria.
