Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
Antes de decidirnos por la tesis afirmativa o negativa, debemos hacer un estudio de los resultados que ha producido la inmigración en el país, hasta la época actual. De los datos obtenidos en la Dirección General de Inmigración y Extranjería se desprende que existen en el país 18 867 inmigrantes, hasta el 31 de Diciembre/51. Pero debemos tomar en cuenta que no todos los que ingresas al país, quedan formando parte de nuestra población, pues algunos nuevamente salen, otros mueren y varios se naturalizan.
