Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
En nosotros pudiéramos afirmar que la democracia moderna, no significa individualismo. El Estado, mero guardián, totalmente separado del mundo económico, es una ficción; la declaración de su existencia, una mentira; la afirmación de su posibilidad, un sofisma. Pudiéramos decir que gracias a esta mentira y este sofisma, el liberalismo individualista, mientras predicaba la abstención del Poder Público en cuestiones económicas, ha mantenido entregadas en mano de la prepotencia económica del capitalismo, las poderosas influencias del Estado.
