Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinosa Pólit.
La rica zona de Santo Domingo de los Colorados situada entre las estribaciones occidentales de los Andes y las costas de Manabí y Esmeraldas, con una altura promedio de unos 500 metros sobre el nivel del mar, de pocos años a esta parte ha venido a convertirse en “el granero de Quito”, calificación que le correspondía antes el fértil Valle de los Chillos. Efectivamente, tenemos conocimiento que diariamente salen de ella 40 camiones en promedio, cargados de productos tropicales para abastecer a varias provincias interandinas, entre otras el Carchi, Imbabura, Pichincha y Cotopaxi.
