Abstract

Es indudable el progreso que ha significado para el estudio de los fenómenos económicos la aplicación de las matemáticas y del método estadístico matemático. Basta comparar el planteamiento antiguo o clásico de la ley de la oferta y la demanda y el moderno, sus estudios sobre la función demanda, elasticidad de la misma, para apreciar la diferencia de conocimiento y análisis de los fenómenos.
