Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por el Sistema Integrado de Bibliotecas de la Universidad Central del Ecuador.
El Gobierno de Lucio Gutiérrez ha acelerado el paso en su marcha hacia el infierno neoliberal. Ha cedido el territorio nacional para la operación de bases y tropas norteamericanas, como parte de la estrategia del Plan Colombia, involucrando al Ecuador en un grave conflicto militar; se apresta a suscribir un acuerdo de libre comercio con EEUU, lo que liquidaría el escaso aparato productivo en pie; se ha aferrado a un esquema dolarizador que está estrangulando la economía y empobreciendo más a millones de compatriotas; ha desmantelado más de 60 años de vigencia de derechos laborales. Ahora se prepara para consumar el último paso al averno: la privatización o concesión del principal patrimonio público, el petróleo.
