Abstract
Este artículo fue escaneado por la Biblioteca Ecuatoriana Aurelio Espinoza Polit.
El objetivo de esta ponencia es presentar brevemente una visión empírica sobre el sector informal en Quito, a partir de los resultados de la investigación sobre la reproducción de la fuerza de trabajo en Quito, realizada por el Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas de la Universidad Central del Ecuador, en 1985. En este estudio se realizó una encuesta de hogares, cuyo universo fue toda la población de la ciudad. Su diseño muestral confiere un alto grado de representatividad a los resultados obtenidos.
