Abstract
Some Latin American countries continue to be politically unstable. They are countries where presidents do not finish their terms, there is institutional instability, there are blockades and conflicts. We are not in the Latin America of the democratizing euphoria of the end of dictatorships, of national security and even of the 1980s when economic models and economic policies could be debated; the idea of democratic stability was not at stake. Today, in Latin America, we have a very worrying panorama regarding the circumstances of political stability. We could analyze country by country and few nations are spared from this situation.
