Abstract

Fue aproximadamente por el año 1970 cuando la prensa norteamericana comenzó a pregonar la especie de que una crisis energética se cernía sobre el país. Tres años más tarde la crisis energética es un hecho de proporciones mundiales, que se revela de una gravedad jamás sospechada ni por los analistas burgueses más pesimistas de 1970. Es más, de mero fenómeno económico cuyos efectos debían circunscribirse a los estados Unidos, la crisis no sólo se convirtió en problema de índole internacional, sino que ha llegado a adquirir un agudo carácter político.
