Abstract

The present article proposes the design and implementation of a monitoring system for electric actuators for the company AUMA Andina & Centroamérica in
order to supervise all control variables of a eld network of electric actuators designed withModbus RTU communication interfaces. e communication links
are made using eld buses on which the processes involved in the automation of electric actuators are controlled. e device used to manage all communication
links is the Siemens SIMATIC S7-1200 controller, which includes the communication cards CM 1241 for Modbus interface and CM 1243-5 for Pro bus achieving
the exchange of serial data through the RS-485 standard. e programming of the process and the con guration of the industrial protocols is done through the
tools and libraries of the TIA Portal V13 software, and as a tool for visualizing the results of the control process the touch screen Red Lion G306A (HMI) is used,
throught the Crimson 3.0 software. All of the equipment metioned above is integrated in a low power control board designed in accordance with standards IEC
61439-1 and IEC 61439-2, which includes all the maneuvering and protection elements required for a control process.
