The chronicle and the stories of the social
Main Article Content
Abstract
From the reading of a representative text of the Latin American chronicle, El burial de Cortijo, by Edgardo Rodríguez Juliá, this work analyzes the values of the chronicle as a narrative of the social; reflects on the role of the chronicler as a carrier of an organizing subjectivity of meanings; and proposes a reflection on the place that this narrative occupies in the understanding of contemporary societies.
