Abstract

In this article, the chronicle is analyzed as a journalistic genre. Its characteristics and socio-cultural reach are highlighted, as well as its reality and with the contemporary human being. Its main characteristic is not left aside: to be an abject and rebellious language, opposed to any form of power, which portrays that Other of society that is despised and made invisible by the official language and its aesthetics of glamor and catwalk. Currently, the chronicle is the most representative journalistic genre of contemporary journalistic narrative. to penetrate the different spheres of reality and builds the complex social and political fabric. And it makes it fun, funny and provocative ... irruptive ... irruptive ... insurgent, if it still fits it's term in the political jargon of the Third Millennium.
