. Method and analysis of the Spatial Urban Edge through the Imaginaries in the city of Ambato- Ecuador.
Main Article Content
Abstract
After a postmodern sociological perspective, imaginaries can be used to question or reflect on different visions of what we understand as edges in the city. It is important to highlight the transdisciplinary nature of the study of imaginaries and, therefore, the need to establish new theoretical, methodological, and interpretive frameworks for their analysis and understanding. The objective of this article is to analyze the spatial edges of the city of Ambato, reconstructing and generating new categories of study through perceived imaginaries. The analysis will be carried out using a proprietary methodology based on the postulates of Grounded Theory, since the constructivist approach allows for a critique of positivism and the scientific method from a qualitative perspective, establishing subjective logics and relationships for data interpretation. Barthesian mythology will be used as a critical analysis tool in semi-structured interviews, and ATLAS ti. will be used to code the quotes. you, with the purpose of giving value to the voices of those who inhabit the limits of the city and reconstructing its own meaning of syncretic spatial edge, generating new theory from the lived spatial edge, in a rational, plural and sensitive contextual framework.
