Esplenectomías en trastornos hematológicos y por purpura trombocitopenica idiopática
Abstract
Se revisan las esplenectomías realizadas en el Hospital Eugenio Espejo, entre los años de 1970—1982, por indicación terapéutica para varias enfermedades hemáticas, entre las que sedestacan la púrpura trombocitopénica idiopática (76 casos) y la esferocitosis hereditaria (16 casos).
No se presentó complicación quirúrgica en ninguno de los casos y se obtuvo mejora clínica en el 97 por ciento de los pacientes esplenectomizados. (Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas, 9: 5,1984).
