Uso de betaemisores tópicos en craneofaringiomas
Abstract
Se pone en consideración un nuevo procedimiento neuroquirúrgico para el tratamiento de craneofaringioraas qu feticos o mixtos, medíante implante intratumoral de radioisótopos, con lo que se consigue alterar el comportamiento biológico del tumor al producirse necrosis del epitelio secretor.
El procedimiento se ilustra con el reporte de una caso y nota técnica que puede realizarse cuando no se dispone de equipo para cirugía estereotáxica. (Revista de la Facultad de Ciencias Médicas (Quito), 10: 15, 1985).
