Trauma renal en el hospital “Eugenio Espejo”
Abstract
Se realizó un estudio retrospectivo y descriptivo de la incidencia de traumatismo renal en el Servicio de Urología del Hospital “Eugenio Espejo” de Quito, Ecuador, entre 1994 y 1998. Tomando en cuenta que la mayor causa de muerte por debajo de los 40 años, tanto en hombres como en mujeres, son los traumatismos, y que de estos, aproximadamente el 5 al 10% tienen algún compromiso génito-urinario, estos se deben diagnosticar a tiempo y tratar adecuadamente para evitar complicaciones renales.
