INGENIO Journal has established itself as the main means of specialized scientific dissemination of the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. Since its foundation, it has assumed the commitment to promote the dissemination of technical and scientific research in various fields of engineering. This effort has been fundamental in promoting academic excellence within the institution and has played a key role in the advancement of knowledge in the field of applied sciences.

This edition presents innovative studies on digital management in public entities, optimization of hydraulic systems and pest control with artificial intelligence. It includes comparative analyses on occupational safety, soil mechanics and urban sustainability. In addition, technological solutions such as SCADA, genetic algorithms and green roofs are addressed. The thematic diversity reflects a comprehensive approach to efficiency, environment and digital transformation in engineering.

Focused on the dissemination of technical and scientific studies in multiple branches of engineering, promotes academic dialogue and the development of applied knowledge, positioning itself as a relevant reference space for teachers, researchers and specialists. 

This edition presents original research on the characterization of occupational injuries in construction, time series analysis of homicides, and prediction of mechanical properties of concrete using artificial neural networks. It includes technological developments with microcontrollers applied to teaching, structural modeling studies and finite element simulations. Likewise, vehicular acoustic regulations, vulnerabilities in medical equipment of operational technology and hydrodynamic calibration of sewage systems are evaluated, integrating advanced approaches in engineering, safety and applied technology.

The articles presented focus on the optimization of technical and educational processes through the use of emerging technologies and alternative materials. Statistical models, non-parametric methodologies and eco-design criteria are used to optimize processes and reduce impacts. Innovative didactic proposals and organizational studies with occupational health implications are also included. As a whole, an integral vision oriented to the functional and sustainable improvement of technical and social systems is promoted.
