The publisher may first reject articles, without recourse to a review process, if it considers them to be of low quality or for presenting evidence of ethical misconduct or incomplete documentation or contravene the criteria of the editorial policy.

The articles shall be submitted to a first opinion of the editor, the section editors and/or the Editorial Committee, taking into account:

In case the article requires preliminary adjustments, it will be returned to the author before being forwarded to reviewers. In this case, the author will have up to twenty days to forward the text again with the requested settings.

After the preselection a specialized reviewer is assigned, who will issue his report using the format (RevFIG FP02 Evaluation of articles) and the annotations deemed appropriate in the text; at this stage the confidentiality and anonymity of authors and reviewers (double-blind mode) will be ensured.

  4. Not publishable: the author may repost the article and start the arbitration process again, provided that the corresponding adjustments are evident.

In the event of substantial and contradictory differences in the concepts on the reviewer's recommendation, the publisher shall forward the article to one more reviewer or a member of the Editorial Committee who may act as a third arbitrator, in order to take a editorial decision on the publication of the article. (15 days)

Authors should consider the comments of reviewers or editors, and each correction incorporated or omitted must be justified in the text or in an accompanying communication. In the event that the authors omit the indications made without an adequate argument, the article will be returned and will not be received until there is clarity in this regard.

The publisher will respect the intellectual independence of the authors and they will be given the right of reply in case the articles have been negatively evaluated and rejected.

The authors, with their username and password, will be able to enter the Editorial Management platform, where they will find the concepts issued and the editorial decision on the article.

The publisher and the Editorial Committee reserve the right to accept or not the publication of the material received. They also reserve the right to suggest shape modifications, adjust keywords or summary, and perform style correction. The author will know the final version of the text before the official publication of the text.

When an article is accepted for publication, the author must sign the reproduction authorization (RevFIG FP03 Reproduction authorization).
