Volume 9, Number 2 of *Revista Ingenio* presents a selection of research studies reflecting the commitment of the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Sciences at the Central University of Ecuador to generating and disseminating high-impact scientific knowledge. The papers included in this issue address current challenges in fields such as cybersecurity, additive manufacturing applied to biomedical devices, hydraulic engineering, digital transformation in construction, and the optimization of solar energy systems.
