The School of Dentistry has witnessed countless stories of effort and dedication, but few are as inspiring as that of Dr. Yolanda Montiel, a professional whose love for children and education has left an indelible mark on the field of pediatric dentistry. In a recent interview, she shared her accomplishments and the philosophy that has guided her throughout her career.
Dr. Montiel comes from a family of teachers and knew from an early age that dentistry was her calling. A graduate of Manuela Cañizares School, she decided to take an additional year of high school to be able to enter dental school. Her determination was evident, as she combined studies with work, demonstrating an admirable ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
