The new metro stop in the vicinity of the University Citadel of the Central University of Ecuador requires a careful study of the context. The University raises a counterproposal to the project presented by the Municipality that puts in value the public space with an urban re-planning of a rather deteriorated urban fabric. The study of the context is carried out based on the Research Project "Landscape Values of the University Citadel of the UCE". With the proposal, the green corridor that joins the slopes of the Pichincha with the network of green spaces of the city is articulated, a patrimonial corridor is structured with the existing elements in this section of Avda. América and the public space is strengthened as a generator of activity. All this aimed at generating a positive identity with respect to the University Campus both from the university community and from the residents of the nearby neighborhoods.
