Abstract

The challenge involved in the rehabilitation of totally edentulous patients leads us to seek ways, methods and techniques for it, even more so if it is a patient with a systemic disease, at the level of rehabilitation with dental implants there are different protocols to perform them. , within which Dr. Maló's protocol, called all on four is a viable and effective method in the long term; and in the same way, the use of materials that are biocompatible is a challenge today, since technological advances always seek to shorten osseointegration times, which is what patients most want for aesthetic rehabilitation and in a short time, this translocated concept systemically compromised patients in whom calcium metabolism is compromised will be managed with materials that promote greater differentiation of bone cells and thus improve osseointegration; One of these materials is tantalum, which allows bone formation in a better way according to different studies, all thanks to histomorphometric and genetic analysis. A 63-year-old female patient attends the postgraduate clinic of the Universidad Central del Ecuador in search of a treatment through dental implants. The generated treatment was satisfactory both in functionality and aesthetics perceived by the patient, giving long-term peri-implant stability. There are treatments that provide security to restore chewing functionality and dental aesthetics in patients who have lost all their teeth and even more so if we complement them with innovative materials to provide greater long-term stability of dental implant treatments in patients with diseases systemic of any kind.
